CAROTID INTIMA MEDIA THICKNESS
CIMT Testing
A carotid intima-media thickness test is used to measure the thickness of the carotid arterial walls. This non-invasive ultrasound test measures the thickness of the inner two walls of the artery; the intima and the media. An increased thickness caused by plaque and inflammation is strongly correlated to an increased risk of stroke and cardiovascular disease.

Physicians use CIMT testing to determine the age of the arteries. This thickness can alert physicians to arterial disease while a patient is still asymptomatic.
We partner with physicians that specialize in stabilizing and reversing arterial plaque and inflammation. Let these physicians create an individualized plan to drastically reduce your risk of heart attack and stroke.
